It is extremely unlikely that a Llamhigyn y dŵr lives here, but in that eventuality do not approach and withdraw immediately, and not just to a "safe" distance. You must leave the entire area. Unlike an afanc or dragon, a Llamhigyn y dŵr is almost impossible to defeat.

We know that King Arthur dragged a creature here to keep it from marauding the terrified inhabitants of the lands about, but no records exist as to the nature of that creature.
Professor Llewellyn’s expedition of 1902 demonstrated that Llyn Cau has no bottom, and so it would have been the ideal place to imprison a dragon in the time of King Arthur. Some report seeing an AFANC, whilst others tell us they have seen a LLAMHIGYN Y DŴR. If you see ink-like stains in the air or water LEAVE immediately.
